Terms of Service — Personal Assistant

These terms are the agreement between you and Cove Technologies Pvt Ltd ("Cove Craft", "we") for the CoveCraft Personal Assistant. By using the assistant, you accept them.

The three things that matter most. The assistant runs on WhatsApp in a way WhatsApp does not officially permit, so the number it runs on can be banned — always use a spare number, never your main one. It is an AI and it will sometimes be wrong, so check anything important. And it is not an alarm system — do not rely on it for anything where being late is serious.

1. What you get

A private assistant you message on WhatsApp that can manage your Google Calendar, keep your task list, and send you reminders. We set it up, run it on our hardware, and keep it working.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information when signing up. The assistant is for you personally. Do not share access with others — it acts on your calendar and your data with whatever it is told.

3. WhatsApp — please read this properly

The assistant connects to WhatsApp as a linked device using unofficial software. This is against WhatsApp's Terms of Service. WhatsApp may, without warning or appeal, ban the number the assistant runs on. We cannot prevent this, predict it, or get a banned number back.

Because of that:

Use a dedicated spare number for the assistant. Never the number your family, clients or bank use. We will not set up an assistant on a number you tell us is your primary one.
You accept the risk of that number being banned, and you accept that we are not responsible for it or for anything that follows from it.
If the number is banned, we will help you move to a new one. There is no refund of fees already used.

We offer the same assistant on Telegram, which is officially permitted and carries no such risk. Ask us if you would prefer that.

4. It is an AI, and it makes mistakes

The assistant uses a large language model. It will sometimes misunderstand you, mishear a voice note, get a name or a date wrong, or state something confidently that is not true.

Check anything that matters before relying on it — especially times, dates, names and amounts.
Confirmations are not proof. If it says it booked something, and it matters, look at your calendar.
Do not use it for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.

5. Reminders are best-effort, not an alarm

Reminders are checked every few minutes, so they arrive shortly after the time you asked for — not exactly on it. They can also fail entirely if the internet drops, power goes out, or WhatsApp is unavailable.

Do not use the assistant as your only reminder for anything you cannot afford to miss — flights, medication, exams, court dates. Set a real alarm as well.

6. Your responsibilities

Keep your phone and WhatsApp account secure. Anyone with access to your messaging app can instruct your assistant.
Do not use it for anything unlawful, or to send bulk or unsolicited messages.

Tell us promptly if something looks wrong, so we can fix it for you and everyone else.

7. Fees

Pricing is whatever we agreed in writing when you signed up, typically a one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee. Monthly fees are payable in advance and are not refundable for time already served. We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price. Taxes are extra where applicable.

8. Availability

We run the assistant on our own hardware and we do our best to keep it up, but we do not promise any particular level of availability. It can be interrupted by power cuts, internet outages, maintenance, or changes by WhatsApp, Google or our AI provider — some of which are entirely outside our control.

9. Stopping

You can cancel any time. Tell us, and we will shut down your assistant and delete your data within 30 days.
We may suspend or end your service if you break these terms, if fees go unpaid, or if we can no longer run the service safely or lawfully.
If we shut the service down entirely, we will give you 30 days' notice and refund any unused portion of fees paid in advance.
You can revoke the assistant's calendar access yourself at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

10. Your data

Your calendar and tasks remain yours. We claim no ownership over anything you tell the assistant, and we do not use it to train AI models. How we handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

11. Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows:

We are not liable for missed appointments, missed reminders, incorrect calendar entries, lost business, or any indirect or consequential loss.
We are not liable for the actions of WhatsApp, Google, or our AI provider, including account bans or service changes.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you on your assistant's number at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Before going to court, please email us — most things are fixable in a day.
